3 stars Infinite Horizon is a german progressive/power metal band releasing so far 4 studio albums. This is their third one from 2008 named Soul reducer. They play a fusion of power metal bands like for ex Metal Church, Vicious Rumors with some progressive metal elements something between Dream Theater or late Angra period ( Aurora consurges era). The music is ok, nice musicianship, but theideas is kinda running dry here, not to mention on their lates one, whre they running dry like Sahara. Anyway , this album is ok, with some good moments like Children of Tomorrow with some good progress elements and some very good voice from Marc Lemmler. I would like to here much more eleborated music here, more keybords and less crunchy and repetative guitar riffs because I'm talking about progressive metal not some everyday power metal band. So, I will give 3 stars for this album, quite unnoticed band from today but is no wonder because I can named at least 250 names that sound alike and has same manner of interpretation. Still an ok album and has some good moments for sure and much better then their latest album from 2009 Dominium.
