4 stars Some may say Punk & Ska, I'll then reply - taking these genres to heights unseen before. Of course, conditions when this was born were weird and terrible (communism tightening, but craziness was on the rise). And so KNS was born. This album, Přísně tajné (Top Secret) isn't from pre-revolution '89, it's from 00s, but who knows for sure, as with a lot of things about KNS, it's not so certain.

However it remains crazy. Some people say that these "new" two albums aren't as crazy, weird and adventurous as old material, but from past, there is no studio album as far as I know, so I suppose I should get on with these two great anyway albums. Except elements I already mentioned, there is certain Plastic People feeling (listen Noční chodec, "Night Walker", there it is very strong), especially because of saxophone. There are however songs like Haslerka, drunken take on famous Czech song.

A lot of songs are Jazz tinged (drumming in particular is the most prominent). But what is the most interesting is how all songs evolved from mere Punk'n'Ska tunes to something more complex and mature. And if you happen to understand lyrics, you'll know that they can be quite funny & weird at the same time, as it usually is.

4(-), not as good as previous album though.

But because it's free to download, I suppose that it barely (very barely) makes 4. Go for their previous albums first.
