4 stars I had the pleasure of seeing Laurie on tour for the Strange Angels album, but it was a much more laid back affair than the show she did for this show. Even though this is available as an audio album, the best way to visit the Home Of The Brave is to see the video. After all Laurie is a performance artist musician, and what a show. Dancing, weird costumes, crazy backdrop images, surreal, and of course Laurie's thoughts.

It's heavy on material from Mister Heartbreak, musically it is an expanded version of the album, which has only one song, Credit Racket, that isn't on the video. She's assembled an excellent set of musicians including Adrian Belew, Bill Laswell, and David Van Tieghem. Good old William Burroughs himself even drops in.
