The Sea Which Has Become Known is the first release of Mare Cognitum. It was recorded during the summer of 2011 and released in July.

Reissued on CD and Vinyl formats in 2018 by I, Voidhanger Records and Fallen Empire Records, respectively. 2018 Artwork by Moonroot Art.
