Camelion biography
CAMELION were founded in 2012 by five young musicians from Cergy-Pontoise, France, who had been playing together since high school, despite each being involved in other music-related projects as well, and they immediately set about finding the best means to develop and highlight the stylistic diversity within the group. After almost a year dedicated to composing new material, the band played their first concert at La Bellevilloise live music venue in Paris. Other concerts followed, allowing Camelion to broaden its exposure, and they won the 2013 Campus Sounds Competition, organized by the University of Cergy-Pontoise. On March 14, 2015, they opened for legendary French progressive rock band Ange at Le Forum de Vauréal, Vauréal, and this led to them gaining considerable support prior to the release of their first album "Yksniv Arts". The album release party was held on January 29, 2016 at Théatre 95 in Cergy-Pontoise, with support band Black Tape.
