FILTER-KAFFEE is comprised of Berlin citizens Frank Rothe and Mario Schönwälder, who are deeply rooted in Kosmische Musik in the vein of Tangerine Dream. The produced albums are named after some common sizes of coffee filter paper. According to that they started in 2011 with '101', released on SynGate Records, at that time yet under the moniker SCHÖNWÄLDER & ROTHE.

The following albums were offered by the specialized German Manikin Records label. 2016 then saw the release of the album '100' which consists of session leftovers from the years 2009-2011. Overall their music results in elaborated Berlin School oriented soundscapes. Highly recommended.
