Nodding God biography
Nodding God are a British kosmische musik trio consisting of David Tibet of Current 93, veteran surrealist producer Andrew Liles and a third, enigmatic member known by the pseudonym "The UnderAge Shaitan Boy." Their debut LP, Play Wooden Child, was released via House of Mythology in 2019, accompanied by a two-track CD single called In a Foreign LandScape. The project initially began as a collaboration between Liles and Tibet to score the latter's presentation of a paper regarding extinct languages. According to Liles, "The recording was made in a 'numerological' way. David has an antique grimoire of signs, symbols charts and so and so forth. So the number of notes in the arpeggios, track lengths, which note was played on the scale and keys etc all relate and correlate to various spirits, intelligences, demons, metals and numbers that were in the charts and tables found in the grimoire."

A particularly bizarre, post-industrial take on Berlin School, Nodding God features Tibet's processed vocals reciting in ancient Akkadian atop a bed of ever-morphing and arpeggiating electronics containing the DNA of Klaus Schulze, Jean-Michel Jarre, Coil, Pekka Airaksinen and John Carpenter in its kaleidoscopic blend.
