Xenoglyph biography
Claiming to hail from a ruined alien civilisation on the exoplanet GJ 357 d, Xenoglyph are in reality an Earth-based post-black metal duo from somewhere in the United States. Formed by two anonymous musicians in 2017, Xenogylph are a conceptual studio project performing a coldly psychedelic form of atmospheric black metal inspired by European classical music and post-metal, drawing critical comparisons to Blut aus Nord, Mare Cognitum, Oranssi Pazuzu and Omega Infinity.

Xenoglyph released their debut LP, Mytharc, through Glossolalia Records in 2020, and their follow-up, Spiritfraud, via Translation Loss Records in 2022. While the lyrics to their songs are unprinted, Xenoglyph use their science-fiction parables to take a stand against late-stage capitalism and unbridled technological overreach. The band described Mytharc as "a loose social commentary on the overwhelmingly ludicrous nature of what it means to be a living entity in the 21st century on planet earth, and a cautionary tale of the doomed future that humans have surely only begun to endure." Spiritfraud's loose concept warned of a future in which humanity "has been hacked by their own inventions" and "where digital beings want to expedite their own evolution by means of stealing human dreams."
