Whimwise biography
UK-based outfit WHIMWISE was formed by Nick May, known by many as the guitar player of progressive rock band The Enid.

Released in 2005, "Whimwise" initially was a solo album, but since the release it soon evolved into a regular band project. Current members are: Jakie Windmill (keyboards, percussion), Steve Hughes (drums), Nick May (guitar, keyboards), Mark Powell (keyboards), Will Summers (crumhorn, recorder, flutes), David Speight (drums), Sally Motly (violin), Gonzalo Carrera (keyboards), Ruth Edgell (flute), Karen Jones (clarinet) and Will Hughes (bass).

Previous members are: Alquimia (vocals, harp), Kozma Kis Emese (flute), Alyson Rainey (violin), Ami Wilson (violin).

WHY IS THIS BAND LISTED AT PROGARCHIVES:
WHIMWISE is a band influenced by many aspects of progressive rock; Symphonic Prog in particular. In addition, many of the musicians involved have strong ties to various progressive rock acts. As a whole this merits for an inclusion as a Prog Related band.
