BATTLE OF MICE is a post-metal supergroup , that consists of menbers Joe Tomino (of Fugees, Dub Trio and Peeping Tom), Tony Maimone (of Book of Knots and Pere Ubu), Josh Graham (of Neurosis and formely of Red Sparowes ), Joel Hamilton (of Book Of Knots) and Julie Christmas (of Made Out Of Babies).

BATTLE OF MICE formed in 2005 when guitarist/keyboardist Josh Graham and Julie Christmas met in Austin, Texas while both were touring in their respective bands.Graham and Christmas in fact disliked each other upon their first meeting and during the recording of the band's debut album, were in an on-off relationship.This sometimes resulted in the two being so frustrated they would not play in the same room as each other and the frustrations are apparent in the lyrics.

Their debut was released under Neurot Recordings in 2006 and the album itself is a very post rock and metal affair, as one would expect from a band consisting of members who have played in post rock/metal/post punk outfits.

The band's line up remains steady at the time of writing and despite frustrations and the problems surrounding the process of their debut album, the band is due to return to the studio to follow up on their debut album.

Another interesting aspect of the band, is the name itself, which is derived from a saying by Alexander The Great, relating to the invasion of Crete.
