ELLIS THE VACUUMCHILD are the band from Haning, Sweden - they're playing post rock with wide indie influneces: it's not surprsing to find stylistic traces of SONIC YOUTH in their music, as well as MONO, MOGWAI, and other 'more typical' post-rock staples. However, they're homogeneously fusing those aspects into their own personal style.

The band is an sextet, with occasional seventh member (Simon AKA Ed Greene, the singer). Members are Johan Wilhelm (guitar), Jonas Eriksson (guitar & bass), Rickard Strand (guitar), Henrik Löthman (bass, trumpet, drums), Mattias Lindberg (synthesizers & organs) and Martin Gunnarsson (drums & machines).


The band released two EP's: 'Goliath' from 2002 and 'Ellis the Vacuumchild' in 2005. in the same year they had released theri debut album, 'Peace by Extermination'.
