The Pancakes biography
THE PANCAKES are the brainchild of guitarists Daniela and Rainer Neeff. The band hails from the northern part of the German Black Forest and was founded in May 1995. They started as a three-piece garage band playing wild psycho 60s beat music. After gathering bassist Michael Georgi the members began to record the first studio tapes.

With Sirkka Hammer (bass) and Johnny Pfitzenmaier (drums) aboard the first album 'Brainshaker' came out in 1999. At the beginning of the new millenium another modification occured when Russell Mc Swan (drums) came in and Daniela Neeff changed to the bass. Now this lineup remained stable during the next years and new albums followed, 'Ugga Dtschagga' (2001), 'SpaceCow' (2005) and 'Aquanaut' (2008), a collection of live recordings put on two LPs.

THE PANCAKES are busy with two other productions and play wayward indie/garage rock coupled with psychedelic respectively spacey excursions and cosmic themes.
