Souvenir?s Young America is a three piece instrumental band from Richmond, VA.Their music is combination of prog rock, electronica, metal, ambient, country, taking post rock sound at some futuristic level. Souvenir's Young America's opus varies from post-metal-ish heavy riffs, at occasions sludgy, sometimes bluesy, dark hypnotic tunes underpinned by ambient textures to softer, melancholic vibes. They use instruments like cello, banjo, xylophone, tambourine just to provide distinctive sound, unique aproach to post-rock. Cinematic rock filled with massive drones, inventive guitar melodies, harmonica lines, crushing chords, mathy groove. Their music is abstract, experimental and spacey, gloomy and heavy yet melodic. They so far released three full-lenght albums: Souvenir?s Young America (2006), An Ocean Without Water (2007), The Name Of The Snake (2010).
