Of The I biography
OF THE I are a five piece band based in London, four of the members having moved there from Switzerland as students of psychology and philosophy. The line-up consists of Jordan Davis - vocals, piano, synths, Nico Lowell - bass, Sebastian Danielsson - guitar, Roman "Pach" Pawar - guitar and Alexander Boethius - drums.

The band began by releasing their music as free downloads on the internet before taking the plunge and self-financing their debut album which was recorded live over a period of ten days in a North London studio. They describe their music as progressive, melodic and experimental rock which is a fair description to which I'd add with an alternative and modern edge owing little to the prog old school. Their music sometimes bears a resemblance to TOOL though less complex and with a rawer edge.
