The Blitzoids biography
A Chicago-based rock concrete The BLITZOIDS, founded as a trio by the De CHIARA Bros. (Chris and Steve) and Jim NICKELS in early 1980s, are thought currently that they had stayed indoors for a large part of their life though there were a few gigs in and around Chicago, their homeground. Strongly in the vein of RIO predecessors (e.g. The Residents, Frank Zappa, Captain Beefheart) or Canterbury Scene, free / experimental jazz, or the mixture of elements mentioned above, they have left two official releases upon Mook Records - "Stealing From Helpless Children" (1987) and "Look Up" (1989) - and some promo copies. These two albums have been reissued and re-released as a coupled compilation named "The Complete Blitzoids" in 2006 via ReR USA / Ad Hoc Records.
