Anaxes biography
ANAXES is a progressive metal band from Caxias do Sul, Brazil, formed in 2005 by Bruno PINHEIRO MACHADO (guitars) and Thiago CAURIO (drums). While the duo's initial intention was to create instrumental music, this all changed when Gui ANTONIOLI (vocals) joined the band which performed live throughout south Brazil. Benhur LIMA (vocals, bass) and Cássio VIANNA (guitar, keyboards) were the final additions that solidified the band's line-up. It was four years since their first demo in 2006 that the band would finally self-release their debut album ''Antithesis''.

ANAXES display a power/progressive metal sound with their main influences coming from DREAM THEATER and the personal projects of James LABRIE, but also the dynamics of PAIN OF SALVATION and they are recommended to fans of traditional progressive metal.
