Hokus Pokus biography
Hokus Pokus is a band from Horten, Norway. They released an album of Symphonic Prog music in 2009 called Videre Fra Der Vi Skulle Ha Vært (which translates as: onwards from where we should have been). The album has a Roger Dean inspired sleeve picture and the music reminds of Renaissance and other Symphonic Prog bands from the 70's.

The history of the band goes back to 1983 when they started life as a four piece playing instrumental music under the name of Ocean. The group has changed their band name several times during the course of their evolution, first from Ocean to Hokus Pokus in 1990, after the first incarnation of Ocean folded in 1989. Ocean then re-formed in 2000 with some new members and lasted three years before folding again, upon which the Hokus Pokus moniker was resurrected once again. By the end of 2009 all the original members of Hokus Pokus had retired and the remaining members then reverted to the name Ocean, and then in May 2010 they became Lanthian Ocean.
