"In the Cage" is a great one, but the one over 9/8 in "Riding the Skree" is absolutely brilliant, compositionally and technically. He never hit that peak again, and much of his later keyboard work is downright embarassing.<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; By the way, I don't know if "solos" is the right word here, because that usually implies improvisation, and&nbsp;he invariably played them the same, as every bootleg will attest. "Solo parts" or sections is probably more accurate.</DIV>]]>

Unlike anything else. Powerful, ominous, and dramatic. <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>The whole Lamb Lies Down On Broadway is pretty much a collection of Banks' riffs &amp; solos that carries the whole album through. I especially like the mellotron mixed chorus in Silent Sorrow In Empty Boats.</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>Overall, my favorite Banks solo is The Cinema Show solo. (Studio version) It transports you to lush sonic landscapes. It may not be the most technical, but it has a very memorable melody line.
