I relistened to the first album and it still sounds ok although I would not give more than 4* now (I will change as I re-write this review)

They sound like a cross of Floyd with early 70's UK proto -prog with that distinctive Krautrock edge

the bonus tracks are from two singles (from 72 and 74) , but the music on them two is defintely not singles material >>> it is probably their most adventurous material

I really enjoyed their first album (from 71) and gave a quick good review (4.5/5), but apparently this Cd got to the bottom of the pile of things to listen further. Got a few days free so I will do so shortly

I forgot why it took some five years before they did a second abum, but I remember listening to it at the shop, and passed up quickly on it, because it did not sound quite as good

I like Eela Craig's late '70s albums Symphonic Rock and Missa Universalis. Exceptional keyboard-laden prog not made by the "Big 5/6/10," etc.

Symphonic Rock is the better of the two, IMO. EC will primarily appeal to keyboard nuts (I am one). SR is the album with the band and a pornographic amount of keyboards/synthesizers on the cover. ! I own their compilation CD entitled Symphonic Rock, it contains their best early material featuring wonderful and varied vintage keyboards (Mellotron

), tasteful and alternating compositions, sensitive electric guitar and good vocals. An often overlooked band!

I have heard two albums by them and while it was good, it was not memorable. I agree with DB regarding the lack of originality and complexity (this one lack of trait bothers me not). Austrian band, good standard progressive rock created after the original thought in the latter 70's. Reminds some of Eloy's earlier works, cold and mechanical arrangements. Solaris, Omega and Tako would be other Eastern European bands that were copying the influences coming from Western Europe and the USA and adding elements of their local traditional musics with generally limited success though some of these bands are worth a listen. To my ears most lack enough originality or complexity to be classic.

Anybody knowing this dutch band ? I used to have a vynil-single in the 70s, A-side "A spaceman came travelling" B-Side "Heaven Sales"... the b-side sounds fine and proggy ( though it's a short song ) while the a-side is a coverversion of an old Chris de Burgh-song ( if you like it, GREAT ).

Can you recommend me anything on CD ? Thank you before
