Exceptional keyboard-laden prog not made by the "Big 5/6/10," etc.

Symphonic Rock is the better of the two, IMO. EC will primarily appeal to keyboard nuts (I am one). SR is the album with the band and a pornographic amount of keyboards/synthesizers on the cover. Great!

I agree with DB regarding the lack of originality and complexity (this one lack of trait bothers me not). Not an essential band to listen to, but if you get to listen to it you'll probably like it if you like Eloy, for instance.

Solaris, Omega and Tako would be other Eastern European bands that were copying the influences coming from Western Europe and the USA and adding elements of their local traditional musics with generally limited success though some of these bands are worth a listen. To my ears most lack enough originality or complexity to be classic.

Edited by DallasBryan - July 07 2006 at 14:23

I used to have a vynil-single in the 70s, A-side "A spaceman came travelling" B-Side "Heaven Sales"... the b-side sounds fine and proggy ( though it's a short song ) while the a-side is a coverversion of an old Chris de Burgh-song ( if you like it, GREAT ).
Can you recommend me anything on CD ?
