yah of course, totally agree with you... but I was just wandering why Gryphon was clasified as a Prog Rock band, if there's no rock at all, based on what I've listened to.

That's quite an interesting point of view man, but since rock is a kinda new genre (compared with other prog rock influences as classical music) I can't really see how to go farther rock-wise, if you know what I mean.

I have all of Gryphon's studio albums, and there's certainly sufficient rock for me to easily put it under the Progressive Rock category (I like all of their albums, by the way).  The first album is the least rock.  Treason is very much a rock album.

Hi there, I've been listening to Gryphon a lot lately, Midnight Mushrumps and Red Queen to Gryphon Three to be more specific, great records, totally like what I've listen to but I can't help making myself the next question:

Why the hell this is listed as Prog Rock, if there's no Rock at all?

I mean the rock attempts here are too shy, why not call Gryphon just mmm... neo classical / folk / renaissance music, etc...

I don't know if I'm understood, I don't have a huge prog background like some people here, I started to listen to prog rock just 2 years ago, so I hope you guys get my point Tongue
