    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.progarchives.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=8161" rel="nofollow">Slartibartfast</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 68969<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> July 07 2010 at 04:45<br /><br />I've got less than half of these.&nbsp; Of those I do have, I have to rank Imaginary Day at the top and I'd recommend avoiding the one with Scofield.&nbsp; These aren't bad albums, but they seem less inspired than his earlier ones.&nbsp; One Quiet Night really illustrates this for me.&nbsp; It's solo acoustic guitar, he's using alternate tunings, but it's no New Chautauqua. My last one to date is The Way Up, which is well regarded around here.&nbsp; Me, I could take it or leave it.Definitely to be commended for experimenting more.&nbsp; <span style="font-size:10px"><br /><br />Edited by Slartibartfast - July 07 2010 at 04:46</span>]]>

Question and Answer is a great trio record with Dave Holland on bass&nbsp;and the great drumming by Roy Haynes. Metheny always has good musicians surrounding him on his solo albums and group albums.]]>
