Actually we're planning something for early September, yeah. Not quite sure where exactly it'll happen (it might end up being one gig in Germany and one in the Netherlands or something like that, I'll keep you updated). :)

Less than two weeks until Generation Prog live! Big smile I'm really excited about this. Our rehearsals have been going great so far and we're preparing a new violin arrangement for one song that will allow Bartek to play on more than just the few spots on the CD when we hit the stage - sounding very promising so far! :)

Newsextet lineup to headline “Generation Prog” mini-festival

Oneyear after the release of their internationally celebrated debutalbum, Relocator are finally ready to hit the stage. For theirheadlining performance at the first “Generation Prog live” eventin Erlangen, the fusion proggers have assembled an internationalsextet lineup. The core group featured on the studio album staysintact: Project founders Stefan Artwin (guitar) and Michael Schetter(born Pruchnicki, bass) with Bartek Strycharski (electric violin)plus Frank Tinge from the Netherlands (drums). Joining them isanother Dutchman, multi-instrumentalist Meinte Boersma (guitar,percussion), enabling the live band to do the dense arrangements ofthe album justice.


NewcomerSergej Schamber takes the place of CD guest star Derek Sherinian

Theaddition of Sergej Schamber (Ocean Spout) to the live band finallyanswers an often posed question: “How are they going to play thisstuff live without Derek Sherinian?”. The former Dream Theaterkeyboardist had recorded all the keyboard tracks for the Relocatordebut as a special guest star, enabling the project members towrap up the recording of the album without adding a full-timekeyboardist. “Sherinian's ivory work across Relocatorprovides a mass of musical might”, wrote Ytsejam.com reviewer TommyHash. After the release of the album, Relocator finally found theperfect keyboardist to join them for live gigs. Sergej Schamber'sability to tackle the complex Relocator material and DerekSherinian's stylish, virtuosic lead work is demonstrated in thisvideo:
