Never been a great SB fan but Glass Hammer were brilliant up to and inc Shadowlands ,best retro prog band I've come across ( I don't count Par Lindh Project as 'retro'). If it was Neal Morse v Glass Hammer then I would vote Morse.
Spocks beard are just okay to me. Have some great moments but I struggle to really enjoy their music.
Glass Hammer on the other hand have made a trio of symphonic keyboard based prog albums that are among my favourites (Chronomotree, Lex Rex and  Shadowlands). Their DVD's (Lex Live and Live at Belmont) are also way more fun than the one Spocks Beard DVD I have. Unfortunately GH's latest IF is not so much to my liking but they still get my vote for giving me so much more enjoyment than SB.
