And te two bands arent effectively the same, Driver has said that he found the concept of maudlin... (creating music through astrasl projection) to have been taken as far as it could go and so decided to end the band and make a big jump in a new direction, resulting in Kayo Dot.<br>]]>

I think the only reason Driver changed the name is because he didn't want the same fanbase judging the band on what MOTW had previously released.
