It seems there is no special policy. Various Artists (Concept albums & Themed compilations) definition (http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=2634) says, indirectly, adding such compilation would not be a deadly sin:

"This section contains the following types of albums:

Note that only albums with a relationship to progressive rock should be added."

I think it's up to you to decide. If you feel that non-PA bands from "A Gathering... Of 8 Norwegian Prog. Metal Bands" are prog (prog metal) it's worth to add the album.

If you have the info of "A Gathering... Of 8 Norwegian Prog. Metal Bands" compilation you can add it to V/A section.

It seems I'm "too old to rock'n'roll and too young to die" (I hope) 

Anyway I think it was not a bad idea to collect all errors in a limited number of threads. With a "little" help of Easy Living (Admin) it makes easy livin' for our team. 

If memory serves you well? i would hope so. It was your suggestion to do this in the first place.

It is INDEED a reissue, but the site incorrectly states that there are parts which Steven Marx played in on the album, who is, actually, noted in the liner notes, but he (sadly) doesn't contribute to the album in any way, as it can be seen http://puu.sh/2JBD3.jpg here. They've simply added him, since they felt he's a band member.

Will ask Easy Livin to kill the beast.
