Mind you Manic Street Preacher's (possiby shelved) Seventeen Songs Of Hatred And Failure would've been hard to top. Yeah, first record in seven years. (Mind you there was a 6 year wait between her second and third.) It's still hard to believe she was only 19 when she made Tidal.

Fiona Apple's new release is titled The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than The Driver Of The Screw, And The Whipping Cord Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do.
 
Actually looking forward to this. In 16 years this will only be her fourth album- she takes her time and doesn't release rubbish. Please feel free to make this a general Fiona Apple appreciation thread if the fancy takes you.
 
Fun Fact: Her real name is Fiona Maggart. I wonder why she changed it.
