    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.progarchives.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=13912" rel="nofollow">rushfan4</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 91486<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> February 19 2013 at 15:23<br /><br />I bought a couple of RTF vinyls a little while back.&nbsp; I just haven't listened to them yet.&nbsp; I actually have a few Chick Corea albums too.&nbsp; My favorite Al di Meola might be World Sinfonia II, which happened to be the first one of his that I bought.&nbsp; Elegant Gypsy, Splendindo Hotel&nbsp;and Casino are all great too.&nbsp; I also have Land Of The Midnight Sun, Orange and Blue, Scenario, and Tirami Su.&nbsp; I've just not listened to many of these all that frequently.&nbsp; Splendido Hotel, Casino, and Land of the Midnight Sun are all recent purchases.]]>

From a production standpoint, I think it's one of the best sounding albums from the 70s, regardless of genre, and the music kicks ass.<br><br>Try RTF's "Returns" (2009) album. Some great renditions of classic tunes, with some great improvisation.<br>]]>

Some prefer the recent ones but it's different music. &nbsp;&nbsp;Elegant Gypsy and Casino are favorites of mine. Also he was with Stomu Yamashta on the album "Go" in the late 70's. For me he's just sterile and flat. Nothing changes inside me. On the other hand when I put Santana I instantlly feel the wormth and energy that suites me ooooo so well. So much energy and head banging. With Al I feel cold. But that's just me. So much energy and head banging. With Al I feel cold. But that's just me.
