There is a huge shift that we are all (mostly) aware of with bands getting away from major label backing as world wide communication has allowed for self reliance and self promotion. Bands are increasingly turning to their fans for grassroots funding of new albums recording and distribution. I myself have participated in the new Exivious pre-funding campaign, paying a little more for the unique cover art and t-shirt. What are your feelings about this trend? What are the parameters required for you to participate in a pre-funding campaign? <br>]]>
