Excellent find my friend! Clap This is two former members of the band Sophistree, who gave us a damn fine album called 'Seed' in 1998. They belong here for sure, and Neo Prog certainly sounds the best place to send them. I added them to progfreak in readiness for an evaluation: http://progfreak.com/Beyond-the-Blue-167747.html.

Proggnosis already have them archived: http://www.proggnosis.com/ARTIST_DETAIL.aspx?AID=10234.

Cleared.

Official website URL just gives a 404 error, but a usable bio can be found at http://bandnet.hamburg/band/beyond-blue.

Google translate, with minor editing:

"The Ray of Spring" is the joint album of two Hamburg musicians consisting of ten varied songs, which deal with the question of how a couple would have evolved from the example of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, if the relationship had been put to the test. Would their ideals and ideas of romantic love have withstood the burdens of their daily lives? Without losing their mutual respect and respect for each other? Beyond the Blue delivers the answer: "The Ray of Spring"!

BEYOND THE BLUE is the summary of two musical biographies. In the 1980s, singer Frank Wollenburg devoted himself intensively to exploring illustrious pop icons such as Kate Bush, Eurithmics and Tears for Fears. Jan Petersen studied all Heavy Metal versions with all his mostly bizarre subspecies.

After their up-to-date band "SOPHISTREE" had dissolved in 2002, Wollenburg / Petersen decided to continue their composing. In "The Ray of Spring" they released their debut album "The Ray of Spring" at the beginning of 2008. "The Ray of Spring" combines the different influences of the two musicians into an independent style of varied songs, charismatic vocals, virtuoso guitars and crazy arrangements.

Or

The album "The Ray of Spring" is now sold out and will not be reissued. The Progressive Rock Duo "Beyond the Blue" does not exist anymore!

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the CD production, Jan Petersen released the instrumental version, which is only available as a download (via the usual portals). The whole is published under his own name with the title "Beyond the Blue TR o. S. (Instrumental)".

The songs were partially mixed and fully re-mastered by Jens Lück, and the music sounds more powerful, dynamic and sound balanced than ever before.

Edit: If anyone wants to listen to the instrumental version of the album in full, it's on deezer: http://www.deezer.com/en/album/44753961.
