Topic: Best of John Wetton (King Crimson Edition) Posted: January 31 2017 at 20:10 |
I have to go with the obvious pick of Starless but my top 5 would go something like 5. The Night Watch 4. Great Deceiver 3. Fallen Angel 2. Easy Money 1. Starless
RIP John

Could have been Lament or One More Red Nightmare, but I went with The Great Deceiver as it had no votes.

Exiles for me. Starless and Fallen Angel are both great Wetton ballads, too, and Easy Money is great for the chant.

It was between Exiles and Night Watch for me. I went with Exiles. Book of Saturdays and Easy Money are honorable mentions, as are all the choices here, really. RIP? Yes, I'm just learning of this. Indeed, rest in peace

I voted for Starless (the obvious choice) but I have a very soft spot for The Night Watch, Fallen Angel and Exiles

A choice between Starless, Easy Money and Frans Banning Cocq & Co. Today I pick the latter.

It depends if it's as a singer, bass player or both. I will vote for Exiles as both. And I'm also just hearing the sad news, may he Rest In Peace.

If it's just overall song, Starless.
If it's favorite vocal performance...either One More Red Nightmare or The Great Deceiver.

Starless is great. It's one of my all-time favorite songs by King Crimson - it's probably my favorite after Epitaph.
But man, the guitar in that piece is great. We're dealing with Robert Fripp and John Wetton, and we're dealing with them at their best.
The number of remixes Crimson members made on Starless are uncountable. But none of them are even close to the level of the original.
And you know what? I'm going to give Starless a listen right now.
