BMS debut was one of the first RPI albums I've heard. And R.I.P blew me away, it was a shock, I've never heard something like this before. Metamorfosi and Il Giardino de Mago are excellent too, but R.I.P stays my favourite, I can't explain why.
To the whole album - now, after listening to lots of Italian prog albums, I can say that nothing can beat Banco debut.

BdMS was one of the first R.P.I. (Rock Progressive Italiano) albums I heard, and R.I.P. (Rock Italian Progressivo) is a great track, but for me it's "In Volo" -- the first track I heard of my first BdMS album. Yeah, it's short, but I really love it, and it just works very well as an opener, for my tastes. BdMS, though I really like the band, can sometimes be a little too bombastic for me.

Haha, already done! Listening to it right now, to confirm it's the greatest song on that album

"Piano parts are
really one of Banco’s strengths, or rather the use of different sorts of keyboards. Metamorfosi is
full of them, often alone and very gracious, and the song feels more like a classical work on some
occasions during the eleven minutes it’s got to its disposal. Being the highlight of the album,
transforming back and forth between the lonely ringing piano and rich, more orchestrated parts where
the rest of the band gets some time in the spotlight, this is where Banco does what Banco does best,
in adding drama to their music."
...and that's why!

Vote for Metamorfosi, the best track of the entire album, is very good one with great soundscapes that i never get tired of hearing.

I'm listentening to Metamorfosi after not listening to that album for a long time, and regretting my vote for "In Volo" -- call it an "In Voluntary" response.

Among my favorite (maybe top 5) RPI tracks, and one of the most unjustly overlooked epic pieces I've heard - Il Giardino del Mago. I tried to write a review a couple months back, but couldn't adequately describe that one; when you listen to it, it somehow gets inside you...or you get inside of it and everything is shut out around you. By the time the ballad-y section comes in, Francesco rips my heart out; his vocal performance there is unbeatable.

R.I.P IHMO, the version of it on their 1975 s/t album in English is (to my ears) way better than the italian version. The emotions of Francesco's vocals along with the backdrop of emotional piano's/orchestra reminds me of the most emotional Ennio Morriconi piece
Get the 1975 s/t if you don't already have it.
