In your opinion, what is Allan Holdsworth best work from these five albums?

Of the last three, I'd go with Gazeuse!

Holdsworth's best work of those albums, I'd say Gazeuse, his unique style is already developed there unlike in Bundles, which I prefer, but definitely not his best.
I thought you would have included Enigmatic Ocean and One of a Kind.

if only taken Holdsworth's parts in these projects, I'd say he was at his best during the recording of Soft Machine's Bundles.

Gazeuse! is one of my new favorite albums. The guitar work is only rivaled by the intense vibes!

Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

I don't have Tempest but of the rest i'm not sure which would standout as his best work. That NUCLEUS album is my second favourite from them and "Bundles" is killer too but i like each of these 4 albums.

bundles and gazeuse are the best IMO but give my vote to bundles because i guess gazeuse is about to win

I do like his work in Tempest. Ollie Halsall did a remarkable job replacing him on the 2nd. Tempest album, Living In Fear IMO.
His work with Gong is exceptional but for me I like Bundles, the best post-Wyatt album by the Softs.
I just included "bands" and not any solo artists named bands like Bruford, Jean-Luc Ponty, The New Tony Williams Lifetime, and UK and Holdsworth solo album from 1976, Velvet Darkness.

From this list, I'd take Bundles as my favorite (if I had enough posts to vote).
I prefer the Steve Hillage collaboration with the Pierre Moerlen version of Gong, i.e. Shamal, over the ones with Holdsworth.
