I'm not unreasonable.I have a problem with the mindset that says black person = threat.

Of course it is poverty and neglect that makes black people into criminals.
Look at the history of the USA (an example not an attack). At one time Irish,Italians,Jews have all been the main focus of criminal activity.All at the time when they were bottom of the pile.Now it is blacks and hispanics.Only when there is true social equality will this problem suffice.Poor people steal goods,rich people dont pay taxes.Same as it ever was.

One of them? There is mass looting going on, with even guns being stolen. People have been shot and injured already. But no one is going to be killed for looting bread ( I hope)

I have seen footage on news of people,including black people,looting...What's  that hard to understand...So this topic has no point,since the article was not racist,but  to the point:New Orleans under water,people looting and shooting and etc...

I just wonder where the a-holes who are taking the TV's are going to watch them? Will they rub two wet sticks together and operate them using thermal energy?  Or maybe like Zappa's kerosene - powered record player, they have taken conversion kits as well.

Seriously, as uncivil and indecent as it is, looting is not the worst part of the situation in the SE.
The spike in petroleum prices is!!! The SUV set may have to re-evaluate their purchase decision.

No folks....what we have on our hands is something we, as Americans, have never encountered before...a catastrophic NATURAL disaster, creating a massive refugee crisis on our home soil with all of the exquisite little inconveniences that go with such an event.....cholera, diptheria, a man killing his sister over a bag of ice  http://www.local6.com/news/4923019/detail.html ,
yes...looting, dialysis and chemotherapy patients unable to have their treatments, no fresh water,
