My sister told me that she doesn’t like prog

Because it changes key too much. I guess

They want something down to earth and short

Like pop. Most women don’t generally like

Loud music so they don’t like the metal part

Of prog either.

Oh, and my little sister, who is 13 is getting into prog (I'm 21). Honestly.
She loves Floyd and is prepared to try the Lamb. One thing she overheard
and liked was Heart of Lothian.

Absolutely agreed, I have the same sentiments.

Starette, why not just feel "gebauchpinselt" (an untranslatable German word that literally means "having the belly tickled with a fine brush"; an expression for experiencing pleasure from praise) from all the attention we get from the boys?

Actually, Jean is right!!

most of the progheads I know of are actually sad that there are no more women  into our beloved genre - Most  of the threads developped in the forum regarding women is denouncing the fact that there are too few of them around us.

You just pulled two or three were there are some very stupid response (and not just coming from virgin teenagers who have yet to find out about how great women are)

in other words (and even if I have a long standing girlfriend):

We want more women to like prog!!!!

How's that for being special?

Sigh, I am used to being confused with Jean meanwhile . Must have something to do with the way we look, though I have no idea what.

Maybe women do enjoy prog more than we know, because (imo) they are more opened minded about music. They will listen to more varied and different genres of music, from pop to hip hop, heavy metal to Kylie. Maybe we should give women more respect over their wide variances of music, on the other hand, maybe not.

Finally....how do you drive a women wild in bed?

Wipe your dick on the curtains after having sex.

..and i knew that she seen me, because she dropped her bikini, the one that i got her, in Rome.

The thing is, different people will always look for different things regarding arts. Different genres will show us this same phenomenon, but ampliffied.  For example, Mercedes (mi adorada Dulcinea - girlfriend) likes Meredith Monk's music very much, and always tell me how it fits better for her taste than, let's say, Bruford's works (Sorry, Bruford, you'll never have any luck with my girl). The world is so manly, and we always forget that. For example, Women are not bad drivers; Cars are designed by and for Males. So, in my opinion, it is just a matter of different sensitivity. I'm sure that many women will show a good reaction to Sigur rós, for example (are they great or what?). And, before starting the brainwashing proceedure, ask yourself if you share some of the interests of sisters / mothers / girlfriends, etc., and why (or why not). Take a look to women's paintings, music, etc. and try to catch some of that sensitivity that I have been talking about on this post.

You are not a rare specimen. Those who starts threads like this one are just not looking "prog-girls" (?) in the right place. Most of my friends (many girls in that cathegory) are related to arts in one way or another, and weird music is always passing by.

since i have been stopping thinking about women, i'm happier than ever! i only post pics of chicks here, that's it! having such women in my life would be a huge burden! beautiful women are usually harmful, if not lethal! there is a price to pay when you are sexy & beautiful: to attract "trous de cul", if you see what i mean!

i do no desperately look for a relationship anymore, and thus i have better energy to spend

for other things. once you assume your status, then you feel powerful and independant!

so, i do not expect women to like prog and come here and say: "lots of guys here: that's cool: we want to make some new virtual friends...NA...i prefer to continue dreaming about things that won't probably be realized.

[QUOTE=Sean Trane]

Actually one of the bigest turn off for me is the woman putting on tons of make-up so much so that they look like Sioux or Apaches on the war path

Nope,they're just Peter Gabriel's wannabees...

That's one of the reasons I'm a lesbian.

Me to!! Sickening behaviour from my male colleagues driving me to have sex with women only, Long Live male lesbianism!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I could never stand someone wiping him/herself on anything else than fine Belgian lacework!!!

In Holland, they do not have curtains on windows to stop the average dutchman from doing this!!!
