I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.

I don't care what you do; you can post what you want. I just find your protest amusing.

ah, this poll isn't quite as balanced as the previous ones. anyone over Ayreon in any case, but Le Orme's Contrapuntti has some groovy moments. =)

Ayreon never clicked me. Le Orme is nice (they have some extremely disgusting albums too). Let's go there.
BTW, Lucassen is from the Netherlands

This is not my beautiful house...

I liked Ayreon for a couple of months, but I think the novelty wore off. The songs [generally] are really dull, despite the cool concept. Le Orme bores me too. However, I love "L'Equilibrio." That song beats the entire Ayreon discography for me.

Why am I not surprised? It's all because of Akerfeldt and Labrie, isn't it?

Le Orme's oft considered best album, Felona e Sorona, also has a sort of sci-fi-ish theme too.

Yeah, I forgot about that. Thanks for the mentioning! I guess there is something both bands have in common then (besides heavy use of keyboards, even if the keyboards are way different). That is probably my favorite Le Orme album of the ones I've heard.

Contrappunti is one of the few I still haven't heard that I've been wanting to. I quite like both bands, so it's hard for me to choose, despite how different they are.

Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.
