![]() Anyway - this band has just made a new one called 'Sound Mirror', and if any of you people feel seduced by what I just wrote, then you should definitely take a chance with these guys. It's been a very long time since I last heard a band with such strong songwriting skills whilst still being jazzy and quirky in all the right places. Listened to it yesterday on Spotify. They're a good band - I really like the debut but I need to hear the new one a few more times yet.

I haven't actually heard it yet. With some artists (tend to be the ones I'm really into) I don't want to spoil the experience of smacking a brand new cd/lp on my stereo and just follow it wherever it takes me.
It's pretty hard in some cases though - especially here and with the new Swans release. |

One thing that worries me a little is the lack of long cuts altogether. There was something akin to a mini "epic" in the form of 'Paradise Lost' from the debut clocking in at about 8 minutes. On here the long ones are around the 4 minute mark
![]() Maybe it doesn't mean anything though, but it did trigger me. I really like longwinded music ![]() |

I think the debut has the edge, but only slightly. Definitely a grower, I do wish it was longer however!
Fav Tracks; Hometown Blues, All and Everything, Singularity, Sink Hole

Dave, I was certain this was the band that you recommended to me, and now I find that they're going to be playing the support slot for Yes when I see them in Melbourne in November!
![]() Will look into their albums before then! ![]() |

I'm still preferring the debut so far, but will give it a few more listens.

Would you guys suggest the debut over the newie? I spun the clip for `Edge of the Earth', and while it was nice, I kind of kept expecting it to leap into action at any second and it never happened...Was kind if repetitive too....just perfectly nice indie-rock but that's about it.

I'd suggest the debut, although none of the music is particularly experimental or explosive!

I still hadn't heard this band before last night, and I only caught the last 10 minutes of their set opening for Yes, but I was pretty impressed with what I saw, and I bought their 2012 LP in the lobby after the show. Also chatted with them briefly and got this picture taken.

Great album.
The cover got my attention,as I had just seen that 'Concrete thingy' on a tv-show about zeppelins. After reading freyacat's review i knew it could be something that I would like and sure enough.Excellent album. If you like this one,you may also like the norwegian band Brimstone Solar Radiation Band's Smorgasbord album.
