Topic: Kraftwerk concert canceled due to synthesizer ban Posted: November 12 2016 at 05:40 |
Apparently Buenos Aires’ has a major problem with electronic music and has taken steps to correct the issue. To which I respond, "The world has lost it's mind."

Apparently five people died at an electronic show last year so they're not taking any chances.

They banned electronic music because in April, five people died at the time warp festival (EDM festival) because they consumed a lot of drugs. So the politicians got angry and banned electronic music shows. Not all electronic live shows are attended by people who take drugs.

It is a lot more complicated than that, there was way more people than it was authorized by city permits, there was not enough water supply/sales (run out because of the amount of people) and also the drug (ecstasy) was cut and extended basically with sh*t and that really killed those poor b*****ds.

So does that mean any band with a keyboardist that doesn't only use a piano and/or organ is banned too?

Damn it, what a ****in' decision. Firstly dope, pep, tobacco or cannabis must be prohibited instead of great music.

I agree. The locals wouldn't, though. We'll Meet Again by Vera Lynn is still top of the Falkland Islands top ten and has been for over 70 years, keeping Gracie Fields' The Biggest Aspidistra In The World at no 2.

It's the "new" religion around the world. If it isn't done with a gun, it's done ... well ... well ...
It just goes to show you how some music around the world is respected. It isn't! And the human spirit takes a toll on that, because folks more than likely are not educated enough to realize it's not the instrument that is the problem ... it's the politics behind it, and how it is used! And usually NOT the musician's, but the local this and that, and then mothers and what not!
In the old days, when I was a kid in the state of Sao Paolo, many people made fun of the folks in Argentina as bums and exiles and criminals from other countries, that were sent to the "end of the world". When you and I hear things like that, it's really hard to think that ... anything has changed!
But, the authorities having to pull it for no security, drinking water, facilities and what not? I have no issue with that. I do have an issue with the authorities disrespecting their next generation, and that is not (usually) a good sight at all!

Yeah, they've been duelling for ages. So why not ban guns and war...? Oh. Yeah. Getting your head blown off is respectable, mind blown, not so.

Yes, banjos should obviously be banned, just because they're banjos.
