This is tough. I have to expand to ten... 1-Supertramp (They have such a distinct sound, and their first 3 albums are a lot better than what they're known for)(3 songs-Asylum, Try Again, Brother Where You Bound) 2-Pink Floyd (3 songs-Sheep, Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Echoes) 3-Chicago [Terry Kath era] (When their virtuoso guitarist kicked the bucket, all that awesome jazz infused rock went to pot)(3 songs-Liberation, Poem 58, Introduction) 4-Yes [Befrore 'Drama'] (3 songs-Yours Is No Disgrace, America, Close To The Edge) 5-Genesis [Every album with Steve Hackett](3 songs-Squonk, Can Utitility and the Coastliners, Here Comes The Supernatural Anasthaetist) 6-Frank Zappa (3 songs-Inca Roads, Willie The Pimp, Don't Eat The Yellow Snow) 7-The Who [From 'Tommy' to 'Who Are You'] (3 songs-Won't Get Fooled Again, Who Are You, Dreaming From The Waist) 8-Jethro Tull [Aqualung-Songs From The Wood] (3 songs-Thick As A Brick, Cross Eyed Mary, Hymn 48) 9-Led Zeppelin (3 songs-In My Time Of Dying, How Many More Times, The Song Remains The Same) 10-Traffic (3 songs-Empty Pages, Glad, The Low Spark Of High Heeled Boys) |

All lists in no specific order
Old prog: Rush Jethro Tull Pink Floyd King Crimson Frank Zappa New prog: Porcupine Tree Flower Kings Spock's Beard Tool Opeth Rock/Metal: Enslaved Windir Nile Monster Magnet Kyuss If I were to narrow it down to just 5 bands total, it would probably be Porcupine Tree, Pink Floyd, Opeth, Rush and Nile. |

Only 5! 1. King Crimson (especially Red, Discipline and Lizard) 2. GonG (especially the Radio Gnome Trilogy, Shamal and Camembert Electrique) 3. Zappa (especially Hot Rats, Roxy & Elsewhere and The Grand Wazoo) 4. Tool (especially Lateralus and Aenima) 5. Can (especially Tago Mago, Ege Bamyasi and Future Days) I could also fit Primus, Ayreon, Yes, Opeth and the Ozrics into the Top 10, but i can't think of an order...
