"No" looks like winning this.
I think some people have voted to the question "is it the greatest album ever?" and others have voted to the question "is it a great album?".

I voted yes on the latter premise. It isn't the greatest album ever made but its a very important album that tends to be a bit overlooked imo.

I don't like Aphrodite's Child at all, the singing is terrible.

I'm thinking he means "I am to come I was..." It cracks me up whenever I hear it.

Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

If he played it at 78rpm he could have listened to the whole thing in 33 minutes 20 seconds... that's still not that quick.

I think that Vangelis was mostly portraying in the lyrics a literal description of events from Revelations, with a few irreverent compositional elements thrown into the record. Perhaps the album title scares people away, but I don't really see that the content of the music was blasphemous to religion or spirituality in any real sense. The song "Aegian Sea" is quite spiritual in a very positive way, to my ears. Also, the vocals by Irene Papas on "Infinity" do not specifically say anything that could be construed as blasphemy. I think it is just the unusual repetitive vocal sound that scares some people away from the track, not as a result of the actual content of the lyrics.

Vangelis wasn't the lyricist.

Then replace the word "lyrics" with "concept," since it was his idea in the first place.
