I do not really know .. but, even if this is the case, shouldn't the "system" recalculate the average, based on the remaining ratings? I know for a fact it recalculated when a rating is changed.

I think it will re-calculate once a new review/rating is submitted.

^ an excellent idea. I went to my review, changed my rating from 5 stars to 4 and then back to 5, and bingo: the average looks a lot better now .. the deed is done .. signing off for today

Now, there is another issue with this release that needs attention. I can't believe that only 6 (six!) PA folks voted, and only one (myself) bothered to put together a review for this fantastic album. On Discogs, the Live with Britten Sinfonia scored 20 votes, averaging @ 4.75 On Amazon, it received 4 reviews; all of them are 5-star.
I wonder if there is anything we could do to bring this album into the spotlight? |

The principles behind the calculation of an average rating are explained at the top of a ranking list (such as the top 100 of 2013, click here).
The current average rating for this album is 4.87 (6 ratings of which one is accompanied by a non-collab review): 1 5-star review with a weight of 10: 50 3 other 5-star ratings.............: 15 2 4-star ratings...................: 8 Total............................: 73 The average rating is 73 / 15 = 4.87.

^ Yup, the average rating is correct now, thanks to Argonaught changing his rating twice to get it to re-calculate after some low ratings had been deleted.
