Hello!

Nowhere to be seen on PA is the album Victor (nor the group) by Rigoni & Schoenherz from 1975. At least I fail in finding it. That is a shame, really, because their album is an amazing symphonic effort, similar in tone and structure to Rick Wakeman's "Journey to the centre of the Earth". Below is some information I have been gathering about the album.

A short bio...

"Victor" is a collaboration between Richard Schoenherz (keyboards, vocals) and Manuel RIgoni (drums, percussion). Both of them seem to be involved in making soundtracks for movies and television these days.

The album was recorded with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Vienna Academy Chamber Choir. Other
musicians included Kurt Hauenstein (Supermax), Harry
Stojka, Achim Buchstab and Johan Daansers,."Victor" is a symphonic tour de force about the power of youth and a plea for deference to authority, war
and cruelty. It is centered around a young man and his upbringing in a circus and his thoughts and rebellion, of sorts, against the adult conception of life and what one is supposed to with it.

"Victor" is a concept album that delicately balances between orchestrated classic and sophisticated symphonic and/or progressive rock.

Track list:01 Victor (part 1)      18:41
02 Victor (part 2)      15:52
03 Victor (part 3)      17:32
04 Victor (part 4)      22:31

Personel

Richard Schoenherz - keyboards, lead vocals

Manuel Rigoni - drums, percussion

Kurt Hauenstein - bass, lead vocals on "Song Of Life"

Harry Stojka - guitars

Achim Buchstab - lead vocals on "Who Is Victor" and "Where Is
Victor"

Johan Daansen - guitars

Peter Wolf - ARP on "The Invitation"

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra

Wiener Akademie Kammerchor

This is very good album, I know it for years and is a damn shame that is not already here on PA a combination of symphonic prog with psychedelic parts and aswell pop moments

You are absolutely right! It is nigh on a masterpiece, I would say. Such beauty and skill in blending so many types of music. Top stuff! I hope it will be inducted into PA soon.

Ideally more samples will be required and also I would suggest editing the title of your thread including suggested sub-genre so it can be picked up by the relevant team Wink

Hello again!

I have tried to update the post with genre and two audio clips. No more are to be found on youtube, I'm afraid.

Cheers!

The 'Victor' album on spotify: https://play.spotify.com/album/0av2bkLUZTV4uO2wHyzDIZ.

Edit: Sorry - the album is on there, but it doesn't seem to want to play - either on the web player or the spotify application itself. Ouch
