ahhh. but the beauty of it is Rick .. it is completely flipped in our case. Behind every great woman is a wonder man comfortable to let his wife shine.  Raff is  the star, she is the one the bands know, she writes the well regarded reviews,  I just stand back in the shadows and comfort her and encourage her when inspiration gets low or real life drains the creative energy. She has the talent, I just have ... well .. nothing. It is why in the larger community I am (proudly) known as Mr. Raff.  I like that, it suits my non-online personna very well. I like to watch, to observe rather than actively participate.

True

But I voted Genesis because "I'm just a man". LOL

Didn't even have to think about this - Firth of Fifth.
Welcome to the middle of the film.

^It was kind of ingenuous from my part not realizing that this was going to be such an obvious vote here, and elsewhere, but I wouldn't believe it was going to be by such a big difference. Anyways I'm right now kind of accepting that this is gonna be forever this way, but who cares anyway about this unimportant fact?

Firth of Fifth has a keyboard intro? Confused

I know it has, but with all the Genesis fanboys around it would have won the poll even without..

Second vote for the 5 bridges, anyway.

Here is another 5 Bridges 'fanboy' Octopus! , and I guess that in a general way it's not hard to get full appreciation of their whole 5 Bridges album if one is inveterate fan of classical music.

Change 'Firth of Fifth' to Metallica's 'The Unforgiven III'. That oughta draw some ire. LOL

I nominate "Alaska". Atmospheric to the hilt.

I voted others, just to have an excuse to mention:

"The Prophet". One of Tony Kaye's finest hours.
"Lazy"--Jon Lord certainly isn't, especially on the "Made In Japan" version.
"For Your Love"--Brian Augur's immortal four chords.
"Your Time Is Gonna Come"--but not until after JP Jones' workout.

John Evan's ominous piano intro to Locomotive Breath. Still gives me goosebumps 40+ years later.
