Two classic 80's albums that i absolutely love. Both i see as slightly overshadowed by material that followed it - Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby for U2 and Ocean Rain for Echo.  I prefer both of these albums to the ones i listed and was curious on which of these you like/listen to more.

Unforgettable Fire is U2's best album.  I prefer it slightly over Joshua Tree, followed by Boy.

I never really dug into Echo too much.  I had Crocodiles at one point but I think that's the only one I've heard.  I'll check them out.  I've just recently gotten into a similar cult band from that era (Chameleons) and it's really hitting the spot.

Abstaining from vote.

Back when U2 were a groovy band - October, Boy, Unforgettable, Live at Red Rocks, even parts of Joshua Tree, then came that Achtung beast and Bono's ego outgrew the band.

Zooropa is still my favorite from the band, but that albums stands out as something very different in the U2 catalog.
I like to feel the suspense when you're certain you know I am there.....

I'd rather listen to Echo over U2 for the most part (never cared for Bono's voice..)....and Heaven Up Here and Porcupine are killer albums by Echo.

Bono can be pretty fantastic, i mean Bad is such a strong performance.
