Hi Svet! Bandcamp link has an unwanted https in it that prevents it from opening. Gonna leave this one for Apostolis to comment on, since you have suggested it for Neo Prog (and since I really ain't got a friggin clue myself anyway!) Embarrassed  LOL

I kinda liked it, not sure it's neo-prog though, too little melodies, but it's spacy enough. Somehow it reminded me of Discipline which in my book is neo-prog also (not in this site, but my opinion trumphs that by far).

Which brings me to the real question, is it really progressive, or just soft metal with some synths in it. Ah who cares, if it's good and it's vain than it's prog.

Thanks Apostolis! I was finding it hard to place this in Neo Prog personally, but you guys are the ones to make the real judgement! They actually class themselves as a 'hard progressive Post Punk band -.have a read of what the band say about their first album 'Timeline', via cdbaby: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/violentattitudeifnoticed:

Album Notes:
"It's difficult to put in words what this band means but we can, at least, say that V.A.I.N.'s music is a manifestation against all the rubbish we keep on seeing on TV or listening to on the radio. Its music is made by those who miss the good and old Punk, Progressive and Hard Rock. In other words, playing just what we would like to listen to has always been the idea. “And how can we go about things we despise ? How can we approach the unacceptable that becomes acceptable ?” That's how we got to the name Violent Attitude If Noticed. We're made out of fragments which are collected along our lives. These fragments are made out of things we've seen, read, heard and felt. So we can say that we are made out of things that we love and despise.
The unacceptable becoming acceptable and the rather confusing and fragmented human nature are the inspiration of our lyrics.
The search for the desired sound has taken the band to a new approach if compared to the early years considered to be a lot rougher. The new line-up brings a lot of electronic elements into the music like keyboards, samples, noise effects and textures. These elements summed to heavy and clean guitars, distorted basses and powerful drums make it difficult to label our music but it's always nice to say something and so we've been defining V.A.I.N. as a Hard Progressive Post Punk band."

LOL! I think we need a new sub genre!! LOL

An interesting detail is that their recent album Eight is mastered by Jon Astley, the same sound-engineer who produced Who Are You the album by The Who.

Echoes of Porcupine Tree, Soundgarden, Pink Floyd, Depeche Mode and lots of others...perfect candidate for Xover, nothing Neo-related actually about it...quite talented band though.

^ Thank you apps79.
The band declare themselves as 'neo prog', so I thought that first you need to check them. Now I will change the topic title.

there are two more members to vote in the Neo team, so you've got to be a little patient.
