Topic: Anders Björler (of At The Gates) for Jazz Fusion Posted: November 09 2014 at 05:10
personally I don't like At The Gates band, not a fan of melodic death metal, but this guy has made a turn in solo work that made one of the best Fusion albums I've ever listened to.some of trax in the album reminds me of the last two records of Opeth.if you want masterpiece, don't miss this!musical orgasm in a word!! he's a master, here's some links:
It's kinda random how I check out new bands, sorry for the delay. With that said I'm not sure yet is this for JR/F. Has some jazz sure, but metal and post rock too. I'll get back to this, I think it's definitely for the site.

yes, you're right, sometimes post metal, sometimes heavy prog, sometimes crossover.but the drum reminds more of jazzy style,I think it's the most similar record to Gordian Knot or Sean Malone's stuff, while Gordian Knot is Post Metal, and Malone is J/R Fusion.it's a hard distinguish, but works for both parts
