Im wanting albums like Home, Broken Barricade and Berlin by Lour Reed,
what is it about artist portrating Death in Music, and Whos albums takes you to Places like these, horror, in the most sollum way, like how A Salty Dog, Home and Broken Barricade, by Procol Harum and Berlin by Lou Reed, and Devil Doll, and bands who mixes cabaret and art rock, for that i will say these records do, they portray cabaret, theater and rock, mostly cabaret and rock, morbid. Focal albums are Procol Harum albums, and Lou Reeds "Berlin" and couple of Tom Waits albums

im not sure if cabaret is the right Word but i cant come upp With other names for it, its pretty narrow, theatrical, melodical about Death, but elegantily and solemnly in rock shape-

From the first Doors album.....while not exactly cabaraet art rock the whole album has a nice feel in a somber way.

Anything Dagmar Krause was involved in.
Not really, but the title made me think of her immediately. Edited by Padraic - November 11 2014 at 08:54 |

The Kinks in the early to mid 70s did a lot of that kind of music. Beginning with "Muswell Hillbilles" and continuing with Preservation Act 1 and Preservation Act 2, and concluding with "A Soap Opera", these are all very theatrical, at times morbid and alcohol-soaked. A little bit corny and campy too (a lot, in fact), but if you're in the right mood it might work for you.

Could this one fit the description? Perhaps more vaudeville than cabaret as such, but the first album I thought of when I read the topic title.
