I don't care for what I've heard of Spock's Beard, Dream Theater, Opeth.

What these discussions generally miss are the old artists who aren't dead yet. Steve Hackett, Henry Kaiser, Adrian Belew, Glyn Havard.

Djam Karet needs to be in your thread ... and they are STILL progressive and clean ... after 30 years of progressive music that does not fit a "mold" that some of the bands listed here do!
 
Kinda sad to see that one of the best and most expressive of the "progressive" bands, is not even listened to or appreciated by folks here!
 
Goes to tell you that the term and its definition is total sh*t!
