I came here to enrich my knowledge of my favourite genre of music, i.e. progressive rock.
Lurked around for six months on the site and forums before joining..
Also, i have never met (do i even hope to now?)anyone in real life with whom i cud discuss prog. Even the two guys(wud one day slaughter both of them if they didn't join the forums soon) i hav introduce to Prog still think im mad.

I came here to learn about Prague. But I haven't found the map thread yet. I am surprised that all the Czechs here like old 70s rock music. I thought they'd prefer waltzes or something with accordions.

There was a movie a few years back called Euro Trip which had a bunch of high school students from Ohio knocking around London, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Bratislava and Rome.  Weird though, the entire movie was filmed in Prague - even the bookending scenes in the Ohio towns of Hudson and Oberlin were shot in Prague!

I can't for the life of me remember how I stumbled upon this website, and so early in its inception. Probably googling (was there googling in 2004?) some semi-obscure band from the 70's.

Unfortunately none of my acquaintances or coworkers are interested in music. So talking about it online is my only option.
