From the Prog Metal conference we have one of the more interesting and progressive bands in the genre. From Poland. RIVERSIDE!!!VIDEO From the wacky land of RIO/AVANT we have one of the important trailblazers of the RIO movement From Sweden. SAMLA MAMMAS MANNA!!!VIDEO Vegas has Riverside as a 15 vote favorite but will fans of truly progressive music turn out and stage the upset? We shall see!

Tough choice... I love Samla... But can I vote against my compatriots? Well... I have to! Sorry Mariusz and co.

Samla, love this band, I don't really hear anything special in Riverside.

SMM all the way! Riverside started out great, but their latest album was a snoozefest of the highest order
. Great live band though.

Riverside quite easily. While I appreciate Samla and enjoy all their albums, my tastes prefer the warm voice of Duda and that atmospheric sound contrasted with the heavy outbursts. It's the emotion I get from them I guess.

Samla. Shame to watch Riverside go down, but I do call SMM the greatest Swedish band ever, and there's good reason for that!

I really love both bands but I feel I don't know Samla too well, I only have two albums from them.
Riverside is a great band except that last album which I really didn't care for.
No vote anyway.

Not intimately familiar with either, but I don't really like Riverside all that much. I've enjoyed what Samla I've heard so Samla it is.

Yes, Samla is more original than Riverside, but I prefer the warm blooded Riverside

Riverside by a long, long way.
The best prog metal band by far.

Can you just put me down as an automatic vote against any metal band?

Riverside any day of the year.....Could have picked a better song by SMM, that one always reminds me of some quirky circus act music or the sound track for a Benny Hill episode
