Read my original post closer

"Maybe not all True "Rock Operas"  but maybe strong concept story telling."

That's why I added this comment.

And I didn't put Tommy on the poll because I thought Quadrophenia was a better album.
Thank you for supporting independently produced music

I wasn't criticizing, just explaining my vote. Spock's Beard "Snow" would have fit well in the list, btw.

and what about Bohemians Rhapsody? It's a song, not an album but if I think to "rock the opera" it's my first thought.

Torn between Quadrophenia and The Lamb. While I think perhaps on musical continuity The Who have the edge, I find the opera/story for The Lamb works better.

Ayreon, The Human Equation.

When he rides, my fears subside.
For darkness turns once more to light.
Through the skies, his white horse flies.
To find a land beyond the night.

Genesis, The Who, and Bowie's albums would all break my all-time top 10/15, so it's pretty close.
In the end, I've gotta go for The Lamb - I listen to it almost as much as Trespass now, despite it being 94 minutes long.

Genesis, because of the wealth of good song material.
It's difficult to hold a high level of songs in a double album format. Genesis did that.

I love The Lamb and TaaB much more but went with Quadrophenia as it is structured more like an opera than the others.  Musical themes are introduced then revisited and combined in other ways whereas the other's are more linear in their storytelling, often with no recurring motifs (or just a cursory return but not any kind of tonic exploration or variation).

Fine music, but for opera standards (no Ca Ira?) I'd have to pick The Wall. Roger's unique ability to make voices and portray characters is one of a kind and no one else is really achieving this. Narration, view points amidst top tunes and imaginative environments abound but only The Wall gets the opera environment. More cheerful than Tosca by the end as well.
